Born in Wisconsin, Newly married, Laura Immigrated to Canada in 2004. She attended the UW Milwaukee, and Manitowoc campus and attended the summer camps at the University of Wausau. She has exhibited and sold through Rahr West Museum, Kohler Arts Center, Francis Hardy Gallery and the Gerhard Miller Gallery in Wisconsin

Currently showing works in her home gallery by appt.

She currently operates her home studio with her husband in Derby New Brunswick and is a recipient of a 2007 Northern Arts Grant through the Ontario Arts Council. Her acrylic painting - The Great Bear Sky was chosen by jury to be reproduced as art cards for the Thunder Bay Regional Food Association which supports local food banks of the area. She is part of the Mirmichi Art Core group of New Brunswick
